The Bureau for Institutional Reform and Democracy – BiRD GmbH is currently accepting applications for a Key Expert 3: Legal expert - capacity building and hands-on support for case handling and investigations (minimum 740 days) for the EU-funded project EU Support to the Ombudsperson Institution.
The expert will focus on building the capacity of the team of senior legal and legal advisors in the institution. He/ she will support them in their daily work on investigations and case handling but also develop in cooperation with the staff and the management of the institutions tools, procedures and processes that will improve the performance of the office.
Qualifications and skills
A Bachelor degree in Law. A Master degree and/or PhD in Law is considered as an advantage.
Excellent speaking/ writing in Albanian language required, speaking/ writing in Serbian language considered an advantage.
General professional experience
- Minimum 4, preferably 7 years of professional experience working in the judicial field in Kosovo.
Specific professional experience
- Experience (only long term experience of at least 6 months under the same assignment will be counted) as legal advisor in at least one, preferably 3 projects or institutions working on human rights in Kosovo.
All key-experts mobilized under this contract must have excellent English drafting skills, and are able to work as members of an international team.
